Marcus Borders experienced educator and Instructional Technology Specialist who
thrives as a customer-focused technology consultant. Currently, Marcus is an expert in
coaching supporting leaders with innovative best practices and transformative learning
experiences. He is also a subject matter expert in digital equity and accessibility in
urban communities. As a current doctoral student of instructional technology, Marcus’
research interests include assessing strategies that bring innovative technology
coaching support to organizations.
Marcus is skilled in various educational technology tools/strategies, including Google for
Education applications, professional development leadership, and online learning
implementation. Well-versed in desktop authoring software, including Articulate 360,
Microsoft Office 365, G Suite, and others.
Marcus is an innovative instructional technology coach and designer committed to
collaboratively implementing, designing, strategic planning, and spearheading
innovative instructional experiences based on current and relevant research-based best
practices, curriculum, standards, and skills.
Marcus Borders is a national professional learning facilitator who inspires educators to
create innovative learning experiences. With 14 years of experience, he has coached a
variety of teachers and students on how to engage technology on a personalized level
effectively. He thrives on creating a community for those invested in closing the digital
divide across the nation.
Marcus is an Education Technology Specialist with Kennesaw State University’s (KSU)
iTeach Team, who thrives as a servant to educators and students. Currently, he is
charged with coaching/supporting educators and administrators with blended learning
experiences in K-12 environments. He is also invested in the assurance of digital equity
and accessibility in the urban communities he supports.
As a current doctoral student of Instructional Technology at KSU, Marcus’ research
interests include assessing strategies that bring innovative technology coaching/support
to parents of elementary learners. Marcus received his Specialist in Education in
Instructional Technology from KSU, his Master’s of Science in Urban Teacher
Leadership, and Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education, both from Georgia
State University.
A native Atlantan, Marcus enjoys exploring parts of the cities’ automotive scene and
roller skating culture. Road trips with unlimited miles and an endless playlist of ’90’s
R&B are his pinnacle of relaxation.
